How does the setup finder work?

It asks three questions: how your service runs, where you’d like more breathing room and how big your team is. The first answer picks the closest restaurant setup; the other two decide where it suggests you start. There’s no email or sales call, and your answers aren’t saved.

What if my restaurant does a bit of everything?

Accepted Answer

Pick the setup closest to your busiest service. The setups are starting points, not separate plans or apps: every restaurant uses the same Tapp app, so you can combine tables, bookings, QR ordering and payments whichever you choose.

Do I need to buy any hardware?

Accepted Answer

No card machine. Card payments run on Tap to Pay on iPhone or Android, so the phones your team already carries become the card readers. The owner chooses which payment methods the shop offers, and each person switches Tap to Pay on in their own profile.

Can I switch from a rented card terminal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tapp doesn’t need a terminal, so once your business is verified and Tap to Pay is on, your team can take cards on their phones. You can keep the old terminal while everyone gets used to Tapp; the rental contract stays between you and your provider, so check its notice period.

What does Tapp cost?

Tapp is £149 a month, excl. VAT. Per payment, Tapp adds its own 0.25% and a fixed £0.05 in person (£0.08 online), the same for every card, and passes processing fees on at cost. The full breakdown is on our pricing page.

How do I get started?

Create your account and choose your market, then set up your shop and import your menu or add items yourself. Complete the business verification from your setup checklist, plus any step your market adds — an onboarding call in the UK, the platform plan in Germany. Then switch on Tap to Pay and take your first payment.
